After Peter had denied Jesus not once, not twice but three times he wondered if Jesus still had a place for him in his circle of friends. After serving the guys an awesome breakfast on the shore Jesus asked Peter the same question three times: Do you love me more than these?

A terrible storm hit the Midwest one night and woke a young father. He was concerned about his daughter and thought she might be afraid of all the thunder and lighting. He ran up to her room to check on her but when he got there, she was not in her bed. He scanned the room and saw her in the window; arms stretched wide, facing the window. When he asked her what she was doing she said, “I think God is trying to take my picture!”

This little girl had it right! She wasn’t afraid of the storm; she believed that God loved her and wanted to take her picture. Good news! Failure is not fatal! Jesus loved Peter unconditionally.
